Having read an article in the Wine Spectator stating that, if blindfolded, 90% of tasters would not be able to tell a red wine from a white wine, the two being served at identical temperature, I decided to conduct the experiment with a few of my colleagues.

Most tasters were absolutely certain that they could not be fooled; well guess what, they were!

Considering that most of them were "connoisseurs", 2 out of 11 correctly identified white and red, that margin in line with the Wine Spectator article! I had 5 bottles at room temperature, 3 reds and 2 whites and the glasses were in paper bags to discourage cheating. You would be amazed to witness how confused the tasters were!
